D.J. Chark shines in the Reeses Senior Bowl.

In 2015, D.J. Chark barely touched the field for LSU as a true sophomore. The last game of the season the team traveled to Texas to play Texas Tech and D.J. ran on the field. He got the ball on a end around run play and he took it 79 yards for a touchdown. The following season D.J was second on the team in every receiving category with 26 receptions, 466 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns and he averaged 17.9 yards per catch. 

 

After he decided to return for his senior year and D.J. was awarded the legendary #7 jersey. He is the first wide receiver to wear the number since Patrick Peterson started a dominant trend for the best LSU player to wear the jersey in 2010. During his senior campaign he had many amazing catches, touchdowns and explosive plays. He finished the season with 40 catches, 874 receiving yards and and 3 touchdowns. He most explosive play came from the Auburn game this past season, he took a punt to the house when LSU was down 9 with 14 minutes to play. They won the game. 

 

He was invited to participate in the Reeses Senior Bowl which showcases the top seniors in the country. During the week of practice he showed that he can break away and create separation with the opposing defensive backs. During the game Chark played confident and made plays, he finished with 5 catches 160 receiving yards and a touchdown.

 

He proved that he's worthy of a 1st to 2nd round pick, he numbers for the NFL combine will continue to boost his stock. Stay tuned to see where Chark lands.
